Megan Moroney Finally Releases Title Track To ‘Am I Okay?’ To Country Radio

Megan Moroney released her sophomore album, Am I Okay?, on July 12 via Columbia Nashville. As they rolled out the record’s singles, they intentionally held onto the title track, wanting fans to experience it as part of the release as a whole. But now that the album has won over country fans, Moroney and her label finally shared the single, “Am I Okay?,” with country radio on August 5. It has clearly caught on with listeners, reaching No. 20 and rising on the Hot Country Songs chart. Moroney wrote the song alongside Jessie Jo Dillon and Luke Laird, with Megan wanting a song that would sound good in a stadium during her upcoming opening dates for Kenny Chesney in 2024. “I want to write a love song. I’m tired of writing sad songs. I don’t know what’s wrong with me,” Moroney recalls of their initial songwriting session. “And they were just like, ‘Oh my God, are you okay?’ If I’m writing a love song, I must be ill.
