Riverfront Broadcasting LLC has elevated Jim Kallas to the position of General Manager of Spearfish, South Dakota. Jim Kallas will serve as the Spearfish GM for KDDX-FM (X Rock) and KZZI-FM (Eagle Country).
Kallas has played a significant role with the stations since arriving in 1996. Among other duties, Jim has served as Program Director, On-Air Talent, Operations Manager and Account Executive.
Mike Fell, General Manager for Riverfront-Rapid City, in making the announcement said, “We are very excited to announce that Jim Kallas will not only be leading our great Riverfront team in Spearfish, but that many important decisions will be made at the local level from a hometown perspective. Radio is a local and regional enterprise and there is no question that the Northern Hills community has come to know and respect Jim and will appreciate working with Riverfront-Spearfish even more with Jim Kallas at the helm. “

Kallas will assume his new duties August 1, 2019.
