Rapid City Police are investigating the city’s second homicide in less than 24 hours. They say the victim is a young male about 20 years old. Wednesday afternoon, just before 3 pm, Police received a call about an unresponsive man in the backyard of a home in the 300 block of East Adams Street. According to the RCPD, when emergency responders arrived they found a young male in the backyard of the home and determined he was deceased with a gunshot wound to the head. Police are treating it as an active homicide investigation. Police are not releasing the victim’s name until his relatives have been notified. Wednesday’s homicide happened just a few blocks from Tuesday’s homicide in North Rapid City. However with so much in common, police say there are no signs indicating the two are related.
