Deadwood breaks ground on plaza project

Share

The city of Deadwood broke ground on a four million dollar plaza on Main Street. It will have a big stage, an ice rink, fire pits, and a gazebo. Several people gathered to see the plaza that’s been in the making for five years. The city and the Main Street Initiative Committee wanted to make sure to keep the Western history alive when designing the plaza … including the name, Outlaw Square. It’s expected to be completed in early September. The first event to be held in Outlaw Square will be the Deadwood Jam in mid September.
