Power outage effects Belle Fourche Wednesday

As many as 1700 customers were left without power in the Belle Fourche area Wednesday. Black Hills Energy said the outage occurred shortly afternoon and effected many business and residential customers before power was restored late in the afternoon. The cause of the outage is still under investigation but it was traced to a substation.
