On 07/30/2018 at approximately 10:18 p.m. the Spearfish Police Department received a report of an armed robbery that had just occurred at the Pizza Ranch located at 2625 E Colorado Boulevard (at I-90 Exit 14) in Spearfish.

The victim stated that two male subjects in masks entered the business and demanded money. One of the males was holding a handgun. The males
left the business with an amount of cash. During the early moments of the investigation the department was able to identify a potential
suspect vehicle, using video obtained from surrounding businesses. Officers located the vehicle in the 3000 block of 8th Avenue in Spearfish.

Based upon information gathered during the investigation a search warrant was obtained for and executed at the residence located at 3005 8th Avenue #6, Spearfish.

During the investigation and execution of the warrant, money and other evidence related to the
robbery were seized and suspects related to the robbery were located. Two stolen vehicles, one
from Spearfish and one from the Rosebud Reservation, were also recovered.

As a result of the investigation DANIEL ORLANDO BECK JR. (Age 19) of Rapid City, SD was
arrested for First Degree Robbery, Receiving Stolen Property and Theft. A JUVENILE MALE
subject, Rapid City, SD, was also arrested for First Degree Robbery, Receiving Stolen Property
and Theft. The juvenile was also arrested on an outstanding warrant from Pennington County,
SD.

The investigation was conducted by the Spearfish Police Department with the assistance of the
Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office and the South Dakota Highway Patrol.
