DUI arrests down sharply in Rapid City

The Rapid City Police Department says it’s seen a dramatic drop in the number of DUI arrests. Over the past 6 months DUI arrests are down about 20 percent as compared to the same time period of the last 3 years. Police Chief Karl Jegeris believes strict consistent enforcement along with an overall cultural change both contribute to the downturn in arrests.
