RC Regional Airport looks to add Pacific Northwest Flights

Rapid City Regional Airport is looking to add more non-stop flights to the West coast by adding Seattle and Portland. Patrick Dame, executive director at Rapid City Airport said the Pacific Northwest is an area they have a large gap. Non-stop flights to California are slated to start in June. But with Seattle as one of the top ten markets for travelers, and Portland in the top 20, non-stop flights to those cities could open up the Black Hills to an entirely new market. These potential flights are still in the early stages of planning, waiting for board approval. Once approved they can present an offer to airlines and look at planning routes as early as this summer.
