COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Fraser Malcolm earned Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference weekly honors, the RMAC announced Monday afternoon. The guard was named the Offensive Player of the Week for his play this weekend, as the Yellow Jackets earned victories over New Mexico Highlands and CSU-Pueblo.

The senior averaged 27.0 points per game, 9.0 rebounds per game, 2.5 assists per game, 1.5 steals per game, and 0.5 blocks per game in the two wins. Malcolm recorded a double-double in a come-from-behind upset victory over NMHU on Friday, tallying 27 points and 10 rebounds. Two of his boards were on the offensive side of the court. In Saturday’s win over the Thunderwolves, Malcolm made four three-pointers on the way to scoring 27 points. Overall, he made 65.5 percent of his shots from the floor, and 50.0 percent from beyond the arc.

On the season, Malcolm leads the team with 17.6 points per game, while also pulling down 5.5 rebounds per game.

Malcolm is the second Yellow Jacket to be named RMAC Offensive Player of the Week this season. Tyler Oliver earned the honor following his play the weekend of Dec. 15-16.

The Green and Gold are next in action in the Donald E. Young Center on February 1-2, hosting Chadron State and MSU Denver. Friday’s game against the Eagles is scheduled to tip off at 7:30 p.m.
