August was a good month for Deadwood Casinos. The latest report from the State Commission on Gaming showed a nearly 8 percent increase in revenue compared to a year ago. Table Games saw an increase of 12 percent compared to 2017 while slot machine revenue was up by about 7.5 percent. The boost in numbers brings the total for the year to less than 1 percent behind the 2017 numbers. Hotel occupancy for the month was down by just under 2 tenths of a percent but was still slightly ahead of the rate nationwide.
