Rapid City Regional Airport sees increased traffic

Rapid City Regional Airport has seen a five percent jump in the amount of visitors over the past year. From various marketing strategies bringing people to the airport, to new direct flights, more and more people are choosing to fly in and out of Rapid City Regional. The airport brought a seasonal nonstop flight to Newark and its been productive. The new addition, as well as normal flights, bring in numerous people to the black hills with the month of July up nearly seven percent. As for the remainder of the year, airport staff hope the rise continues. With numbers continuing to rise- Rapid City Regional is in the works to bring a nonstop flight to Sky Harbor in Phoenix in the near future.
