Meade School District officials and the Sturgis Police plan to meet to evaluate their execution of a soft lock-down at the Sturgis schools after a possible threat last Thursday. The incident stemmed from the report of a student who threatened to harm themself. During the lockdown, students and teachers remained in their rooms as teaching continued. An automated message was sent to parents and guardians around 9:30am advising them of the lockdown which lasted about 45 minutes.
