The latest traffic numbers from the SD Department of Transportation showed a 5.1 percent increase in traffic entering Sturgis as compared to 2017. On Wednesday, 60,608 vehicles were reported which is 11 percent higher than the previous year. Through 6 days of the rally, 342,016 vehicles have entered Sturgis which is about 17,000 more than the same period a year ago.
