The murder trial of Zachariah Michael Poor Bear continued Thursday in federal court in Rapid City. Poor Bear is accused of killing 19-month old Aaliyah Horse in May of 2105 in Pine Ridge. Poor Bear is facing a charge of first degree murder along with assault resulting in serious bodily injury of a minor. Court documents say the girl died from blunt trauma to the head and abdomen. Jurors Thursday heard from the BIA agent who originally took the case and heard the tape of an interview Poor Bear did with the FBI a little more than a year after the death. Closing arguments are set for Friday morning.
